What Carpet Cleaning means at Bethel
Carpets hold more than just visible dirt — dust mites, pet dander, food particles, and bacteria accumulate in the fibres over time. Regular vacuuming removes surface dust but doesn't reach deep into the pile. We offer professional deep cleaning using hot water extraction and specialist carpet shampoos, restoring colour and removing odours.
How We Do It
Our process — step by step
Measurement & Quote
We measure the carpet and confirm the price upfront. No surprises. Larger carpets may need to be brought to our shop — we'll advise at booking.
Dry Vacuum First
Loose surface dirt and debris are removed before any wet cleaning is applied. This prevents surface dirt from being pushed deeper into the pile.
Carpet Shampoo Treatment
Specialist carpet shampoo is worked into the pile and allowed to dwell. This breaks down embedded dirt, oils, and biological matter.
Hot Water Extraction
A hot water rinse is passed through the pile, flushing out the shampoo and everything it's bound to. The extractor removes most of the water immediately.
Drying & Final Check
Carpets are laid flat to dry. Wool carpets need 4–6 hours; synthetics dry faster. We check pile direction and colour uniformity before returning.

Deep, Not Surface
Surface cleaning leaves the problem in the pile. Deep cleaning extracts it. We don't consider a carpet clean until the pile is clear, not just the surface.
Odour Neutralised, Not Masked
Perfumed sprays cover odour temporarily. We break down the source — bacteria and organic matter — so the odour doesn't come back.
Material-Aware
Wool carpets shrink with too much water. Jute weakens when over-saturated. We adjust moisture levels and drying time for each material.
Returned Rolled, Not Folded
Folding a carpet while damp can crease pile permanently. All carpets are returned rolled.
Sustainability is part of the standard
We use biodegradable detergents, load-proportional water dosing, energy-efficient machines, and responsible chemical waste management. Being good at laundry and being responsible about how we do it are not in conflict — they're the same thing.
